On 10th August 2008, PVTrans delegation accompanied PetroVietnam senior officers has paid a business visit to Venezuela to continue its negotiation with Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), the state-owned corporation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, for mutual business development.
On 8th August 2008, at the PVOil’s inauguration ceremony hold at Sheraton Hotel, PVTrans and PVOil signed a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement.
Recently, representatives of Malaysia Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia) had met PVTrans’ CEO. The meeting is a part of Bursa Malaysia’s program to invite Vietnamese companies to list in Malaysia Stock Market. According to this program, in order to encourage Vietnamese companies, Bursa Malaysia stated that the first 10 companies registering to list in Malaysia Stock Exchange will be free of charge.
Recently, Indochina Petroleum Joint Stock Company (a subsidiary of PVTrans Corp) had received 50 taxies which are being converted from petrol – driven engine to LPG – driven engine.
To implement the PetroVietnam’s assignment, in order to prepare for the trial run on late of 2008 and official operation on early 2009 of Dzung Quat refinery, PVTrans and PV Oil had recently signed a Memorandum of Agrreement for crude oil and refined oil transportation of Dzung Quat refinery.
According to plan, a PVTrans’delegation leaded by two deputy managing directors went to Singapore in order to take-over the vessel named PVT Dragon on 30 July 2008.
