Close to the end of a successful year of investment in 2024, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) had welcomed a new bulk carrier – PVT Peridot to its fleet on December 12th 2024, in Japan. PVT Peridot was built in January 2013, which has capacity of 57.300 DWT and fully meets the stringent international maritime safety and technical standards. After acquiring, the bulk carrier was immediately put into operation, further improving PVTrans’s transport capacity.
The Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company has officially announced the ranking of the Top 10 Reputable Logistics Companies of 2024 in the freight transport sector. Among those listed are PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) and four of its subsidiaries: Pacific Petroleum Transportation JSC (Pacific), Nhat Viet Transportation JSC (NVTrans), International Gas Product Shipping JSC (Gas Shipping), and Phuong Dong Viet Logistics JSC (PVT Logistics). The award ceremony recognizing these outstanding companies is scheduled for January 2025 in Hanoi.
On October 24th , 2024, at the announcement ceremony to honor Top 500 Most Profitable Companies in Vietnam for 2024, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) made a significant leap, rising to 85th place, up 7 ranks from 2023. In addition, PVTrans was also honored in the list of the Top 50 Best Profitable Companies in Vietnam.
As part of the company’s strategy to diversify its fleet and expand into international markets, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) has consistently added modern vessels to its fleet. On October 18, 2024, in Egypt, PVTrans officially took delivery of the MR Product Tanker – PVT Valencia, with capacity of 47,399 DWT, buitt in Japan in December 2008. The tanker is equipped with advanced technology to meet the stringent standards and requirements of global maritime industry.
PVTrans proudly reaffirms its leading position in oil and gas transportation industry by being honored in two major awards at Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA): the “Corporate Excellence Award” for the company and the “Master Entrepreneur Award” presented to PVTrans Chairman, Mr. Pham Viet Anh.
Recently, the PVT Neptune, operated by PVT Logistics, a subsidiary of the PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans), rescued three Myanmar fishermen who were in danger at sea during its voyage to India.
On September 9th, 2024, in Singapore, the International Gas Product Shipping Joint Stock Company (Gas Shipping) – a subsidiary of PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) – successfully took delivery of the Hai Phong Gas, an LPG Carrier. This investment marked an important milestone in Gas Shipping’s fleet investment strategy, increasing both its transportation capacity and that of PVTrans in 2024.
Keep up with the company’s strategy to diversify its fleet and expand into international markets, on September 4th, 2024, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) successfully took delivery of the Supramax bulk carrier - PVT Topaz, in Yeosu, South Korea.
