On 12nd Nov 2009 the 3,140 DWT vessel named An Thai 35 voyage chartered by PVTrans berthed at Phu My PTSC Port to load 2,000 MT of urea fertilizer, then transported to Vat Cach Port for PVFCCo and successfully discharged on 28th Nov 2009.
On 13 November 2009, the State Securities Commission of Viet Nam (SSC) accepted in principal the proposal submission of PVTrans to increase its chartered capital by issuing 85,000,000 additional shares in the letter ref. 2551/UBCK-QLPH.
On October 26th 2009, the 33,425DWT product tanker named PVT Eagle of PVTrans had berthed at Product Export Jetty of Zdung Quat Refinery to load 24,000m3 of diesel oil and then transported to Shore Storages of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation in Nha Be District and Vung Tau City.
On 26th May 2009, 5,000DWT tanker named Hai Linh 06 which is providedby PVTrans berthed at Export Terminal No.4 of Zdung Quat Refinery’s Product Export Port to load the first 5,000m3 of kerosene and then transport to Shore Storage of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation at Vung Tau.
On 20th May 2009, at ASL Batam Shipyard (Indonesia) PVTrans took delivery of Suezmax tanker named Kamari from Greek Owner for the conversion to Floating Storage Offloading Unit (FSO) to supply for Dai Hung oilfield which will be operated in September 2009 by PVEP Dai Hung Petroleum Operating Company Limited and PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP).
On 22 February 2009, the launching of Zdung Quat’s first commercial oil flow was held in Quang Ngai province. At the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyá»…n Tấn DÅ©ng emphasized that Zdung Quat Oil Refinery is a key national project of great significance for Quang Ngai province and the central region in terms of politics, economics, social affairs, national defence and security in the course of the national industrialisation and modernisation.
As assigned by Vietnam Gorvernment and PetroVietnam for the mission of transportation of crude oil and petroleum products for Dzung Quat Refinery which will officially operate in February 2009, on 20 January 2009 in Vung Tau, PVTrans took delivery 105,177 DWT crude oil tanker named PVT ATHENA which was built in 2000
In spite of very bad weather and rough sea at Dzung Quat Oil Refinery, PVTrans has safely delivered the first crude oil cargo to the Refinery via its Single Point Mooring (SPM), to ensure the continuously of the Refinery.

In conformity with the investment plan and development strategy, on 26th November 2008, PVTrans Pacific – a subsidiary of PVTrans has signed a contract to buy an Aframax crude oil tanker with loading capacity of 105,177 DWT.
