PVTrans to hold the first seminar on crew

On 27 November 2009, PVTrans held the first seminar on crewing development (Northern part) in Vinh City, Nghe An province, with the parcicipation of PVTrans’ Executive Management Board, Union Management Board, representatives of departments and all PVTrans’ offhire crew members.

Mr.Ta Duc Tien, PVTrans CEO, gave speech to open the seminar

The seminar focused on PVTrans’ crew policies, safety regulations, Maritime Labour Convention 2006 by ILO, international crew organizations to which Vietnam is a member and other related Conventions.

At the seminar, Mr.Ta Duc Tien, PVTrans’ Chief Executive Officer, coveyed PVTrans’ business performance in 2009 and its strategic development in the coming time. He also shared his offshore experience with all crew, listened to crew’s expectations and answered all questions. PVTrans’ crew also expressed their comments and suggestions to improve PVTrans’ crew policies. In conclusion at the seminar, CEO Tien once again appreciated all crew’s efforts and their contribution and requested that the crew team will work together in developing PVTrans into a state-of-art maritime transportation provider in both domestic and international market.
