Last week, PVTrans signed a time charter contract with ST Shipping to charter MT. Poseidon M (96,125 DWT). The time charter rate was fixed and appraised as a satisfactory deal.
On 24th June 2008, PetroVietnam has submitted to the Prime Minister its proposal of expansion and upgrading Dzung Quat Oil Refinery.
To prepare for the official start of the Oil Refinery, as approved by PetroVietnam, Dzung Quat Oil Refieny has signed contracts with PetroVietnam’s subsidiaries to support the safety operation of the refinery:
Right after the taking delivery of the 1st product tanker (MT. PVT Dolphin – 45,888 DWT) on 13th June 2008, PVTrans has signed to purchase its 2nd tanker of 8,700 DWT. She is designed as product oil & chemical tanker, and will be named “PVT Dragon”.
