PVTrans welcomes PVT AURORA tanker in Panama

On the 17th November 2019, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) held the ceremony of transferring the product/chemicals tanker - PVT AURORA- in Panama.

PVT AURORA is a 20,000 DWT product/chemicals tanker which is built in Japan in 2012, with a modern design  meeting the stringent standards of the maritime industry, especially in the North American market’s requirements. After receiving PVT AURORA, PVTrans signed a time charter contract with foreign customers for the international routes.

According to the plan of rejuvenation and investment in the fleet in recent years, PVTrans developed a modern fleet with a total capacity of around 1 million DWT with various kinds of vessels from crude oil tankers, product/chemicals tankers, LPG carriers to bulk (coal) carriers.

In addition to maintaining the domestic market share, PVTrans has expanded the market to the international with over 70% of the fleet operating in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.



 

In 2019, PVTrans’s consolidated revenue and profit continue to grow well. PVTrans has completed the revenue target of whole year before 3 months and reached the profit target of approximately VND1,000 billion, maintaining a growth in eight consecutive years.



 


 

Thanks to the impressive and promising business results, clear strategy, sustainability and transparent and effective management, PVT shares have been highly valued by many organizational investors. In 2019, PVTrans has been voted by Forbes (USA) in the Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in the second time and affirmed to be the leading shipping company in Vietnam
