On 16 March 2010, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) issued an ISO:2008 Certificate to PVTrans (ISO 9001:2000 Certificate is the old version).
Gas Shipping JSC, a subsidiary of PVTrans, signed the con tract to purchase the 2,999 DWT LPG tanker named “Gas Prophet” which will be renamed as “Sai Gon Gas”.
February 4, 2010, Ho Chi Minh City, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation, Emas Offshore Construction and Production Pte Ltd (EOCP), Ezra Holdings Limited Production and KSI signed a Shareholder Agreement to establish a joint venture company called PVKEEZ to supply Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Vessel (“FPSO”) and related services to Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore in respect of the Chim Sao project in Vietnam.
At 17:00 pm January 12, 2010, at the Government Office, a cooperation agreement for the operation & maintenance (O&M) service provision was signed between Emas Offshore Construction and Production Pte Ltd (EOCP) and Petrovietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) with the observation of 2 Prime Ministers of Singapore and Vietnam.
On 27 December 2009, PVTrans held the first seminar on crewing development (Southern part) at Binh Chau Hot Spring, Ba Ria — Vung Tau province, with the parcicipation of PVTrans’ Executive Management Board, Union Management Board, representatives of departments and all PVTrans’ offhire crew members.

In seeking to diversify its business activities, on 18 November 2009, PVTrans Ha Noi Ltd., one of PVTrans’ subsidiaries, successfully executed an affreightment contract with Drilling Mud Corporation (DMC) to charter a bulk carrier to transport 2,000 tons of barite powder from PTSC Hai Phong Port to Vietsovpetro Port. The cargo was safely and timely delivered on 26 November 2009 by PVTrans Ha Noi Ltd.
